How We Work: From First Conversation to Ongoing Improvement
Hiring a marketing agency shouldn't feel like handing your budget to a black box. This page lays out exactly how we work with you, step by step: what we do, what we need from you, and what you get at each stage. It's the same process whether you hire us for one service or several.
Step 1: Discovery
Before we recommend anything, we learn how your business actually makes money. We'll ask about:
- Who your best customers are and how they usually find you.
- What you sell, what you want to sell more of, and what makes you different.
- Your competitors and how they market themselves.
- What you've tried before, what worked, what didn't and why you think so.
- What "success" means to you: calls, booked appointments, quote requests, orders or something else.
If you have them, we'll also look at your website, ad accounts, analytics, email lists and customer records, so we're working from what's really happening.
What you get: a conversation focused on your business, not a pitch.
Step 2: The plan
Next we turn discovery into a plan. It tells you which channels we recommend, why we chose them, and what we'd leave out for now. A plan might be as simple as "rebuild the website, then add search ads," or it might coordinate several services at once.
The plan also sets out how we'll measure progress, so we agree on what counts as working before any money is spent.
What you get: a written plan with recommended services, priorities, timing, the measures we'll report on and a quote for the work. Nothing starts until you approve it.
Step 3: Launch
Once you approve the plan, we do the work. Depending on the services, that can mean building pages, setting up tracking, writing ads and messages, preparing lists or scripting calls. Before anything goes in front of your customers, you'll see it and have the chance to request changes.
We'll tell you what access we need, such as your website, ad accounts or analytics, and why we need it.
What you get: the finished work, launched on the schedule in your plan, plus a note on what went live and when.
Step 4: Reporting
Reports should answer the questions business owners actually ask: What did we spend? What did we get? What's working, and what isn't? We write ours in plain language and tie them back to the measures set in your plan, rather than burying you in charts.
What you get: regular reports on a schedule agreed in your plan, with a short summary at the top and our recommendation for what to do next.
Step 5: Ongoing improvement
Marketing isn't a set-it-and-forget-it job. Audiences shift, competitors change their offers and some ideas simply work better than others. After each reporting period we look at the results and adjust: moving budget toward what's working, testing new ads or messages, fixing pages that lose visitors and dropping what isn't paying off.
What you get: clear recommendations with reasons, and no changes to your budget or scope without your approval.
What we'll need from you
Good marketing is a partnership. To keep things moving, we'll ask you for:
- A main point of contact who can answer questions and approve work.
- Access to the accounts and tools the plan involves.
- Honest feedback on leads and sales, because you'll often see results we can't, like which calls turned into customers.
- Timely approvals, so launch dates hold.
How we communicate
You'll know who you're working with and how to reach us. We keep you updated at each step, flag problems as soon as we see them, and explain our recommendations in plain English. If something isn't working, we'd rather tell you early than wait for the next report.
A note on results
We don't promise rankings, lead counts or sales numbers. No honest firm can, because results depend on your market, your offer and many things outside anyone's control. What we can offer is the process on this page: a clear plan, careful work, honest reporting and steady improvement.
